The drugs Bedaquiline and Delamanid can mean the difference between life and death for people suffering from the worst and most noxious strain of tuberculosis in the world, MDR-TB. The government of India has restricted access to the drugs for its 140,000 MDR-TB sufferers. South Africa has made a different choice for 20,000 MDR-TB patients. The consequences are profound.
